Soccer Analyst Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious run was ended by Sunderland prior to the international break, but will the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' new album, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Life

Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several charity football games over time - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "The side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their Saturday football side," he added.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a period too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our team for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly tight, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their previous couple matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, West Ham won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

The Hammers' only on the road victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno was previously that team's coach.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can West Ham continuing their streak under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I will choose Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

The guest's prediction: The home team are doing well but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season started, but they have surprised a several people under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four games.

A family member told me to get Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had great fortune on the travel this season, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. Brentford will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's side pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.

They have got plenty of talent in their squad but it still feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.

As for Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.

The away side's display in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the close of last month.

However I am not choose that. Instead, I truly need to carry on going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good results because they clearly love to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are doing well and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but might they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
